Senior Regional Marketing and Communications Director, Shriners Hospitals for Children
Bio
Bethanne Demas began her career in healthcare as a pediatric registered nurse in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She brought her pediatric experience to the newly opened Shriners Hospitals for Children-Tampa. She has practiced in a variety of clinical capacities adding skills in nursing leadership, care coordination, referral/physician relations and donor development. In the care coordination-nursing role, her focus was patients with the diagnosis of cerebral palsy. She was instrumental in initiating the summer camp program for Shriners Hospital’s patients in Florida. As one of the first liaisons in professional relations, she traveled Florida and Georgia educating pediatricians, school nurses and other health care providers on Shriners services to grow patient volumes and establish positive referring patterns.

Bethanne served as Director of Public Relations at Shriners Hospitals for Children-Tampa and in that role developed strategic marketing and communication plans with community alignment; initiated fraternal gratitude campaigns and supported local and national signature events such as the East West Shrine Player Visit and game. She and her team garnered local and regional media and established a patient ambassador program. Through this ambassador program, her team highlighted the successful outcomes patients achieved with the high quality, specialized care provided by Shriners Hospitals for Children and the loving support of the Shriners, Ladies and volunteers that positively affected their patient experience.

She began her role as a Senior Regional Director of Marketing and Communications in November 2015. She serves on the leadership team for the International Shriners Hospitals for Children’s marketing and communications division and provides support to the seven Shriners Hospitals locations in the East Region. She has developed a wide depth of experience in marketing and communications that compliments her clinical expertise with the pediatric populations served.
