Born to two Ghanaian immigrants, Danielle Kwateng is a journalist, editor, entrepreneur, and cultural critic. In 2009 she graduated from Howard University and went on to Columbia University’s Publishing Course before starting her professional career in media. She has held positions at Glamour, Essence, and VICE in various editorial capacities in her decade-long career. Danielle’s work has also opened the door for lecture opportunities at places like Harvard University, Clark Atlanta University, CUNY, Facebook, Hulu, Apple, and HBO. Passionate about diversity in fashion, she founded The Volta River, an e-commerce shop for Black artisans in 2016. Danielle currently serves as the Executive Editor at Teen Vogue.
