Bio
Ross is a Workplace Inclusion Lead for Lloyds Banking Group where he uses his 23 years Group career journey, HR CiPD knowledge and lived experience of disability to drive the Banks vision to be one of the most globally inclusive and accessible places to work. Creating a more equitable world for everyone, but specifically those with disabilities is his passion!

He has delivered in a variety of roles which has led him to being considered an established "Thought Leader" and "Subject Matter Expert" on workplace inclusion, with significant knowledge on the needs of persons with disabilities. He persistently challenges the status quo in a positive professional manner bringing a sense of reality and humour to often difficult conversations. He is extremely organised, methodical and has a gentle plain talking style with stakeholders of all levels.

Ross’ previous experiences include managing an award winning workplace adjustment offering, ownership of an internal 70,000+ user online e-learning system, and running multiple years of graduate recruitment, assessment and onboarding campaigns. He earned his stripes in the customer facing bank halls and regional directors offices.

His work in the field of Disability has gained significant respect and alongside his day job he holds a variety of external consultancy, board member and ambassador roles. Ross is currently working with Gatwick Airport, East West Rail, AccessAble, Liverpool Football Club and Permobil. He also regularly appears as a Keynote Speaker, Panel Guest/Moderator on the accessibility and inclusion circuit!

On top of all of this Ross manages his own team of 8 carers to enable him to live his best life - his friends and colleagues question whether you will ever meet anyone so determined.

Out of work you’ll find Ross at a football stadium following his beloved Liverpool. If he’s not singing on the terraces he is at home cooking for family and friends. Ross is a bit of a gadget geek too.

Ross says “When I need to recharge SMA batteries I head off to catch the solar power of the sun. I have been travelling the globe independently since my late teens and I've been to America, the Middle East Asia and Europe. I usually travel three to four times per year. In the session I'm going to share my top tips on how I go about travelling from researching, preparing, booking, travelling, enjoying yourself when you get there and everything else in between…”
