Quratulain Tejani is a Karachi-based freelance journalist, blogger, content producer, and media entrepreneur and has been working with young community journalists to uncover stories of resilience, peace, and co-existence from the communities of Karachi. She is the Strategy
& Communications Director at The School of Writing where she co-founded and is currently the Managing Editor of The Big Picture Pk, a citizen journalism portal carrying hyper-local stories on people, culture, and society. She has written on the environment, gender, youth inclusion, and freedom of expression and also contributes to Global Voices.
She is also serving as a Youth Representative to UNDGC and has previously served as a member of the Youth Sub-committee for the 68th UN Civil Society Conference and moderated conversations on various themes. She co-founded the International Youth Conference, a global platform hosting dialogues and working on youth inclusion in policies and in brainstorming innovative solutions for sustainable development.
Quratulain is currently enrolled in NYU’s MA in Journalism program and aspires to become a full-time environmental journalist for renowned media outlets.
