Group Chief Pharmacist and Clinical Director for Medicines Optimisation
Dr. Onatade (Raliat) is Group Chief Pharmacist at Barts Health NHS Trust in London, leading and directing the Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation service and strategy for all five hospitals, delivered by over 400 staff. During her 30-plus-years career, she has pioneered several successful hospital and clinical pharmacy service and practice innovations, winning national awards for her work on advancing clinical pharmacy practice. She has been a member of national working groups producing hospital pharmacy and medicines optimisation strategies and standards. Raliat’s research areas of interest and expertise are the quality of pharmaceutical care, quality improvement, development & innovation and outcomes of clinical pharmacy. She also loves teaching, mentoring and coaching.
Raliat is a Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and a member of the Society’s Hospital Expert Advisory Group. She most recently took on one of the lead roles in establishing the pharmacy department of NHS Nightingale Hospital, which then became the sixth hospital in the Barts Health Group.
