Jes' goal is to create fundamental change in people operations. As Co-Founder and DEIBA (diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and accessibility) Specialist at The Rise Journey and Rise with OPHR, she helps companies design and implement strategies to build their best teams and develop sustainable organizational culture with a focus on integrating DEIBA into all foundations and processes.

As a no BS kind of person, Jes is focused on hands-on engagement, real world experiences, and communicating successes and struggles in personal and professional realms. Jes has 10+ years of experience in DEI, learning and development, HR strategy, recruitment and engagement roles. She has an extensive background working with startups, specifically in international tech and mental health. Her focus areas include: Career development, invisible disability advocacy, combatting imposter syndrome, diversity recruitment and engagement strategies, ERG development, and women in tech.

She coined the term DEIBA™ in 2019 after recognizing DEI alone was not enough. She officially trademarked the term in September 2021. She was named to Mogul's Top 100 Leaders in DEIB in 2021 and 2022.
Jes leads research initiatives for The Rise Journey’s annual State of the Employee Resource Group Report that analyzes ERG lead compensation and budget trends in order to enable a more equitable future of work.
