Bio
Tameka Taylor is an Analytical Chemist with the United States Environmental Protection Agency. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Towson University and is a Doctoral Candidate in Bioenvironmental Science at Morgan State University. Throughout her career, spanning more than 15 years, she has conducted environmental and food analysis to include the development of methodology in the detection of chemical warfare agents, pesticides and emerging contaminants in various sample matrices including human specimen, environmental and agricultural commodities. Her current research interest includes the composition and abundance of microplastics and their sources, their transport/fate throughout estuarine waterways, and their impact on the aquatic ecosystem.
