Debbie Aughey

Deborah Aughey, Ed.D., is a 30-year AP English Language and Composition teacher at Kennesaw Mountain High School. Her latest ventures are teaching composition at Kennesaw State University and facilitating AP workshops for the Georgia and Alabama state departments of education. She earned her National Board Certification in 2001 and renewed in 2011. Her academic interests include project-based learning, critical literacy, service learning, and strategies to engage students in writing and collaboration. She enjoys reading,
blogging, cooking, gardening, and keeping bees.
