Anna Manville is a Madrid Registry Expert Consultant (USA) for the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and an experienced practitioner in U.S. and international trademark law. She began her career as an Examining Attorney at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), spent more than 25 years in private practice advising on international trademark portfolio management, licensing, and enforcement, and later served as an Attorney-Advisor in the USPTO’s Office of Policy and International Affairs. In that role, she focused on international trademark policy, geographical indications, IP legislative and regulatory developments, interpreting intellectual property provisions in trade agreements, and emerging technology issues, including AI.
