Bio
Dr. Melissa Bell has over 19 years of experience working in the clinical laboratory field. She has worked in non-profit and private medical centers as the Administrative Laboratory Director for high complexity clinical labs. Her experience and knowledge encompass all areas of the laboratory, including laboratory set-up, operation, management, training, and laboratory test validation. She is knowledgeable in the regulatory requirements for CLIA, COLA, CAP and JC and has helped several laboratories obtain and maintain accreditation.
Dr. Bell is a certified Medical Laboratory Scientist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP). She received her Bachelor’s in Clinical Laboratory Science from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, followed by a Master’s in Clinical Practice Management also from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Bell received her Doctorate in Clinical Laboratory Sciences from the University of Texas Medical Branch.
