Carole Motycka is a Stage IV Colorectal Cancer and Living Donor Liver transplant survivor. Motycka is originally from Ohio and attended The Ohio State University. Before her diagnosis she was a mother of 4 boys and was the Director of the Youth at her church. Being diagnosed with genetic colorectal cancer thrust her into the field of advocacy work. She is the co-founder of BLUEM a Colorectal Cancer patient space. Motycka is active with Fight CRC where she serves as a 2020 Ambassador and The Colon Club whom she represents as a 2020 OneTheRISE Magazine survivor model. Carole also works with The Cleveland Clinic supporting research in genetic disease and opportunities for screening. She serves on the Center of Early Disease Detection steering committee at The Cleveland Clinic. Motycka was also named 2019 YWCA Women of the Year for Advocacy for her work in the CRC advocacy area.

Her personal journey has now culminated into a career as a patient consultant and motivational speaker as well and scientific research advocate. Caroles mission is to raise awareness by promoting AskIT/StartIT/FollowIT in an effort to encourage screening in young adults where CRC is on the rise, increase accessibility to all, and speak to those who will listen with her positively entertaining, sunnysided personality to encourage hope and resilience when confronting life's biggest challenges.
