Anna is Director of the London Progression Collaboration – a not-for-profit pilot initiative with a mission to support the progression of low-paid Londoners whilst helping businesses to address skills gaps. The LPC, incubated by the Institute for Public Policy Research and funded by the Greater London Authority and J. P. Morgan, is piloting a business-support approach to increasing the number of apprenticeship opportunities available to Londoners. Through its Covid-response campaign Reskilling the Recovery, the LPC is enabling London’s levy paying businesses to support SMEs to access the training and skills they need to recover from the pandemic, by facilitating the transfer of unspent levy funds. This role has also seen Anna write on apprenticeships and skills policy for TES and FE Week.
Prior to joining IPPR in June 2019, Anna was part of the Director team at education charity Ambition Institute, supporting schools and multi-academy trusts to develop their workforce and address educational disadvantage. Anna also led Ambition's equality, diversity and inclusion work. She is a primary school governor in Staffordshire.
