I have been involved and invested in the Austin community as a fourth generation Austinite. I started my business career at Public Strategies, a major political and business consulting firm. Following my time at Public Strategies I began a career in the title insurance industry in 2003.
My title career started at First American Title in 2003 as a commercial business development representative. In 2005 I was asked to head up the commercial division for United Title of Texas. At the time United Title was one of the largest independent agents in the country.
April 2007, two partners and I launched Prominent Title. We sold Prominent Title to Southland Title July 2015, and I remained with the company to oversee both commercial and residential divisions. With 17 plus years of service in title insurance we are known in the industry as having a can do attitude for our client’s and continue to work diligently to insure their successful closings.
I have served as an Executive Board Member of the Real Estate Council of Austin since 2009 and a Board Member since 2007. RECA was established in 1991 as a non-profit organization of more than 1,700 commercial real estate professionals representing the top leaders in the Central Texas business community. RECA is a very effective resource and advocate for the interests of the real estate industry in the Greater Austin region.
I have been honored to serve as the President of the Greater Austin Crime Commission and a member of the Executive Board. The Crime Commission was established in 1997 to support Central Texas law enforcement, raise public awareness about crime prevention programs, and promote a cooperative and coordinated community anti-crime effort.
Also, I served as president of the Austin Community College Foundation which develops community support for the college and raises funds to meet growing student needs. I’m a firm believer in education and have really enjoyed watching students thrive in our local workforce from dollars we have raised for scholarships.
