Jakub Šlegl is NPI expert on gamma spectrometry at high-altitude observatories and Monte Carlo simulations using code PHITS. He focused on the development of ground stations with gamma spectrometers for the detection of atmospheric ionizing radiation, currently operating in Japan (Kanazawa), Slovakia (Lomnicky stit), and Czechia (Poledník and Milešovka) where he participate in the maintenance of our entire infrastructure, including the SEVAN detector. He has been also involved in the maintenance of our detection stations in Jungfraujoch (Switzerland), Zugspitze (Germany), and Musala (Bulgaria). He is a PhD student at the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague.
