Employed by the Barber-Colman Company, Rockford Illinois, and responsible for the development of in-situ sensors for the measurement of rarified oxygen levels in metals-treating and ceramic furnaces. Transitioned to the development of sensors for the web gauging industry with Barber-Colman’s purchase of Indev Gauging.
Set up a sensor development center for web gauging for Eurotherm International (now Thermo-Fischer Gauging) in Newberry England.
Headed up sensor development for NDC Systems, Irwindale California, and responsible for the development of NDC’s original beta transmission sensor and laser caliper sensor and O-frame scanner.
Currently the Technical Director for Mahlo America, Spartanburg South Carolina, and responsible for Mahlo’s web gauging activities in North America.
Eric Reber has numerous publications in the web gauging industry and holds three sensor patents.
