Hema Purohit is a C Level Strategist in Advisory Services at VMware specialising in the healthcare industry. She is responsible for managing relationships with VMware’s C-suite customers and helping healthcare organisations recognise their specific business challenges and develop strategies to implement digital transformation, private and hybrid cloud solutions and IoT technologies.
Hema joined VMware in 2017 and provides management consultancy and business development to its customers, helping them realise the transformative potential of technology. Her career extends over 20 years in systems engineering, business development, and management consultancy. Prior to VMware, she held the role of Solution Director for Engineered Systems and Cloud Solutions at Oracle, where she spent three years working with key customers, systems integrators and partners to help develop their engineered systems and hybrid cloud portfolios.
During her career she has worked in and lead numerous teams responsible for improving their organisation’s professional services and systems integrator capabilities and has a broad range of experience across various sectors, including healthcare, finance, manufacturing and retail. She is also passionate about encouraging more women into the world of technology and is an active member of Women in Tech and STEM mentoring and volunteering initiatives.
Outside of work, Hema is a talented linguist, speaking Hindi and Gujarati as well as English. She enjoys developing her cooking skills, and is a certified mehndi (henna) artist.
