For over 20 years, Michelle McIver has played in the online space, collaborating on the creation of games, websites, apps, social media / marketing campaigns and YouTube content. Working with clients from development through launch, Michelle has become proficient in writing winning funding applications. She’s been a discoverability strategist and overall contributor to successful applications for CMF, Rogers Fund, Telefilm, Shaw Rocket Fund, Northern Ontario Heritage Fund, Cogeco Fund, IPF, BellFund and IDM Fund.
Michelle has worked with dozens of content producers such as Carte Blanche Films, Bristow Global Media, CCI Entertainment, Merit Motion Pictures, Riverbank Pictures, Guru Studio, Echo Media, Apartment 11, and The Sorry Girls. Broadcast / platform partners include TVO, TFO, CBC, Radio-Canada, TLN, TV5 Unis, YTV and YouTube. In addition to working with producers directly, Michelle supports the industry through her involvement with industry organizations. She recently ran a coaching program for YouTube Canada to support creators that were navigating web series funding for the first time. She is a consultant to On Screen Manitoba, collaborating on various projects including their Content Creator Toolkit. She is also a discoverability analyst for Shaw Rocket Fund, conducting application reviews for their audio visual programs.
