Dr. Graves is completing his fifth year as principal and tenth year as an administrator in Chicago Public Schools. He was raised in the suburbs of Detroit and has taught in or led schools in South Carolina and Indiana before settling in to Chicago. His research focuses on equity in practice, specifically through the lens of the School to Prison Pipeline and studying successful models of leadership that reduce exclusionary practices in racially diverse schools.
