Liz McLean's practice spans a range of litigation and dispute resolution, with an emphasis on intellectual property matters relating to trademark, copyright, and advertising. She represents a variety of clients including social media companies, e-commerce platforms, and biotechnology companies. Liz has handled trademark, copyright, breach of contract, trade secret, patent, and related commercial litigation matters at all phases of litigation, including trial and appellate work. She is currently representing a major social media platform and its subsidiaries in a putative class action involving copyright infringement claims in the Northern District of California; a prominent technology company in a litigation in the Southern District of New York involving direct and contributory trademark infringement claims; a social media company in copyright infringement actions in the Central District of California; a wellness company in a direct trademark infringement suit; and a SaaS company in Lanham Act false advertising litigation. She also advises major social media and e-commerce platforms on matters relating to copyright and trademark infringement and issues concerning the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and the Communications Decency Act (CDA).
