Mr. Sullivan is a fourth-generation Alaskan with 20 years of government, media and community relations experience across Alaska and the Northwest. A graduate of the University of Oregon, he currently serves as the government and public affairs manager for Marathon Petroleum Corporation in Alaska. Previously, he held the position of state public affairs director for Caelus Energy Alaska and Pioneer Natural Resources Alaska, Inc before that. Before his years with Pioneer, Mr. Sullivan worked for one of the largest statewide public affairs group, MSI Communications providing high level consultation around campaign strategies, crisis communications, stakeholder engagement and a variety of other subjects for a variety of state, national and international clients.
Mr. Sullivan serves as the chairman of the government and public affairs committee for the Alaska Oil and Gas Association (AOGA), on the executive committee and past board chair of the Alaska Chamber, and serves also on the Resource Development Council of Alaska board as well. He and his wife are both lifelong Alaskans and share their love of the state with their two daughters and dog.
