Kaj Schwermer is the co-author of the global bestselling phonics course, Oxford Phonics World, and has been teaching phonics in Japan for nearly 30 years. He is an advocate of a systematic, synthetic phonics approach to early literacy instruction. In addition to teaching, Kaj has run numerous workshops, training thousands of teachers across Japan and Asia over the years. He is currently the program coordinator for the Dalton School Tokyo Primary Afterschool program in Tokyo, Japan.
