PhD in nutrition physiology and Food science engineer as initial training, Veronique starts her career in INRA Institute Center in Dijon studying the impact on weaning methods on children food behaviour by managing a longitudial clinical study during 8 months for a common research project between INRA and NRC (Nestle Research Center, Lausanne). Her PhD research at INSERM U866 in Dijon focused on the role a lipid receptor on intestinal lipid absorption, in link with intestinal barrier function, local inflammatory process and gut flora modulation during dietary lipid absorption. The second objective was also to understand the dysregulation of lipid absorption in metabolic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, metabolic syndrome with the participation on other research projects of the laboratory. After her PhD, Veronique has been working for 5 years in an American biotechnology company called Cerule based in Oregon, working on natural stem cell mobilizers and natural antiinfllammatory compounds, as Global R&D manager. Her role in the company includes product development, strategic research plans with preclinical and clinical research, health care practitioners conferences and KOL network development, coordination of scientific communication with Marketing team, and regulatory dossiers writing for food supplements registration in Europe. Her last publication is a review on natural stem cell mobilizers and their therapeutical potential that will be published in a scientific peer-reviewed journal for Health Care Practitioners in May 2020. She’s also a member of Scientific Advisory Board of Cerule with Dr Gitte Jensen and Dr Robert Jackman.
