Abubakar has been involved with OnSide Youth Zones as part of the young people’s development group over a five year period, helping bring the first three London Youth Zones to fruition. More recently he has supported OnSide nationally speaking at awareness raising, fundraising and being part of Government policy discussions. Prior to his time with OnSide, Abubakar was also involved in local youth voice initiatives and sat on his local youth council. Having taken a gap year, Abubakar is now reading Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Oxford.
