Pianist/composer Amy Stephens (N.C.T.M.) writes in Third Stream style, fusing classical form with jazz language, such as in her solo works Scenes of San Francisco and Becoming: Suite for Solo Piano. Amy’s quartet, Amy Stephens Group, enjoys performances at jazz festivals and concert series, and the quartet albums of Amy’s compositions have earned acclaim and steady airplay on jazz radio around the world. She has won numerous composition competitions. Amy has been teaching piano, theory, and composition since 1993, having earned MM Jazz, BM classical piano, BM jazz piano degrees and a performer's certificate from Indiana University.
