Ameer Kazmi received his BFA in Film from the School of Visual Arts. His debut short film, FAIR GROUNDS, premiered at the San Francisco International Film Festival where it received a Special Jury Mention and was a New Orleans Film Festival Official Selection in 2018. Shot on Hi8 tape, this poetic film explores a father’s influence on masculinity, self-acceptance, and lost innocence using urban imagery and experimental visual and audio layering.
