Bio
Ms. Stokes, MHA, CIC, CPHQ, CPPS, currently serves as Assistant Vice President of Quality, Clinical Risk Management and Regulatory for Ochsner Lafayette General. She has been part of the Lafayette General family for 29 years.
Ms. Stokes received Bachelor of Science degrees in microbiology and chemistry from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now ULL) and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Saint Francis. She holds professional certifications in Infection Prevention, Healthcare Quality, and Patient Safety. She also maintains a Microbiology Specialist certification through the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. As a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma, she has extensive experience in process improvement initiatives.
Ms. Stokes is currently the chair for the Louisiana Alliance for Patient Safety PSO Advisory Council and served as the Past-President of the Louisiana Association for Healthcare Quality. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she was appointed to the Lafayette Parish Medical Task Force and was tasked to operationalize and lead the first ambulatory testing site at the Cajundome.
