Director for Trade and Competitiveness, SEA Europe
Bio
Vincent Guerre has been the Director for Trade and Competitiveness at the Shipyards’ and Maritime Equipment Association of Europe (SEA Europe) since December 2023. In this role, he
champions the interests of European shipyards and maritime equipment manufacturers, engaging policymakers, industry leaders, and media to address policy challenges, regulatory barriers, and trade distortions. His efforts contribute to shaping a competitive and sustainable future for the European maritime technology industry.
Prior to SEA Europe, Vincent served for 14 years in pivotal policymaking roles within EU institutions. As a Parliamentary Adviser to a prominent Member of the European Parliament (2010-2017), he contributed to legislative agendas on fisheries policy. Later, as Policy Officer and Team Leader at the Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the European Commission (2017-2023), he steered initiatives promoting sustainability and competitiveness in fisheries and the blue economy.
Fluent in French and English, Vincent is an active contributor on LinkedIn and delivers lectures on EU policy and governance to university audiences. He is also a dedicated member of the Society of European Affairs Professionals, advocating for transparency, ethical standards, and self-
regulation in public affairs.
