Emma Slack is passionate about helping, training, encouraging and challenging accountants to become better business owners and develop their practices into the business they've always wanted. Her proudest moments are when accountants she has coached share their learning with their own clients: “It’s wonderful to see them get paid handsomely and get so much job satisfaction.”
Emma is a qualified accountant and a Practice Growth Expert for AVN. She is also a certified Profit Improvement Coach and a Thomas International approved Personal Profiler.
As an accountant in practice for 12 years, she saw that there wasn’t the training or resources for accountants to discuss and support their clients in a valuable way. All they could really offer was compliance work that was seen by the client as a ‘necessary evil.’
Emma has since worked tirelessly, as part of the AVN team, to develop tools, resources and more importantly, training, for accountants. These give accountants the confidence and ability to transition from a commodity cost in their clients’ eyes to an integral, valuable part of their business future.
She has helped to develop the AVN 7 Stage Roadmap and is continually involved in the creation of new tools and resources for members of AVN and the accountants who are part of the AVN Accountants KnowHow Club.
