Roger N. Simon’s practice encompasses a wide range of transactional matters, including commercial lending transactions, commercial loan syndications, joint ventures, company & asset portfolio acquisitions, commercial real estate transactions (including acquisition, development, financing, leasing and restructuring of large commercial real estate projects) and the acquisition, restructuring and disposition of distressed debt.
Recently Roger has represented institutional real estate investors in connection with permanent loans secured by properties at Infomart – Dallas, Texas, 1101 New York Avenue NW, 801 17th Street NW and the Gallery Place Project. He has also represented an institutional real estate investor in connection with the sale of One Metro Center in Washington, DC.
Prior to attending law school, Roger worked for three years as a Financial Analyst in acquisitions for two major Washington, DC real estate corporations.
Roger’s professional memberships include the Mortgage Bankers Association of the District of Columbia, the Apartment and Office Building Association of Metropolitan Washington, DC, the District of Columbia Building Industry Association (Member, Capital Markets and Distressed Real Estate subcommittees), District of Columbia Bar (Section on Real Estate, Housing and Land Use), the Maryland State Bar Association (Sections on Business Law and Property, Land Use and Zoning), and the American Bar Association (Section on Real Property, Probate and Trust Law).
