Alex is a Rwandan national and currently lives in Kigali, Rwanda. He has sixteen years progressive work experience international development and government. Between 2009 and 2018, Alex worked with an array of international development organisations including with Heifer Projects International, Survivors Fund, International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX), and the United Nations Development Fund (UNDP). Before joining international development, Alex had previously spent eight years at the Rwanda’s National Unity and Reconciliation Commission where he served in different capacities. Alex was an active member of the Justice, Reconciliation, Law and Order Sector (2008-202011) as well as the National Social Protection Sector (2010-2015) where he served on various sub-working groups. He has actively represented some of his previous employers in the network for international NGOs (NINGO). Alex completed a Msc. in Impact Evaluation at the University of East Anglia in 2019 and is currently finalizing an MBA programme of the University of Rwanda. He is a founder member of the Rwanda monitoring and evaluation, created in 2016. His current interests are now in research and evidence-based policy.
