Evey Hwang

Starting in customs brokerage since 1984, Evey Hwang acquired her Customs Brokerage License in 1988. After working at a startup which provided courier services for an airline, she joined Aeroground in 1992 as Director of Import Operations to assist airlines and aircargo processes, as well served as advocate for CBP’s Air Manifest System (AMS) to client airlines. In 1996 Evey opened her own firm and in 2011 partnered with AG World Transport to form AG Customs Brokerage. Joining Alba Wheels Up this spring to start up their San Francisco Division, Evey appreciates the company’s service acumen to clients and shared advocacy to trade community.

In 2009 Evey was elected to the Board of Directors of the Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of Northern California (CBFANC). Since January 2020, Evey now serves as President of CBFANC and as such, is also a board member of the Pacific Coast Council (PCC) which represents west coast ports and trade issues. This year she was also welcomed on to the board of the Propellor Club of Northern California. Continuing work started as CBFANC Ocean Committee chair, Evey participates on several maritime port groups including the Port of Oakland Port Efficiency Task Force, Truck Work Group and East Oakland Stadium Alliance.
