Bio
Andrew Tackett is currently a Captain and EMT with Stamping Ground Fire Department and a Deputy Coroner for Scott County. He has formerly worked for FEMA Region 3 and for Kentucky Emergency Management as a Grants Management Specialist and Search and Rescue Coordinator. Since 2012, Andrew has been a Hazmat Decontamination evaluator for the Bluegrass Army Depot CSEPP annual exercise. Since 2011, Andrew has been a SAR/Cadaver dog handler for Commonwealth Canine Search and Recovery and with Human Remains Detection and Recovery, conducting over 300 searches in and out of the state for local, state, and federal agencies. Andrew is a 1996 graduate of Scott County High School and attended the University of Kentucky, from which he obtained 2 degrees: Resource Management and Consumer Studies, & Individual and Family Development. Andrew is a proud father and husband to two amazing boys and a wonderful wife and currently resides with his family in Georgetown. He enjoys spending his free time coaching his youngest in basketball and baseball, building robots and working on science projects with his oldest, and traveling and enjoying life with his wife.
