Sean’s responsibilities as the Head of Underwriting include supervising JP Morgan’s underwriting and development risk management staff. He also reviews and approves each LIHTC investment prior to the transaction team’s presentation to JP Morgan’s Investment Committee.
Prior to joining JP Morgan in 2004, Sean held the titles of project engineer, lead estimator, and project manager for The Walsh Group, the 16th largest general contractor in the United
States. Sean graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where he received a
Bachelor of Science in General Engineering with a business minor. He also earned a Master
of Science in Business Administration with an entrepreneurship focus from San Diego State
University. Sean has held a Professional Civil Engineer’s license and a Real Estate Managing
Broker’s license in the State of Illinois.
Sean resides in the Chicago area with his wife Julie and three children, Ella (12), Max (10),
and Lucy (7).
