Bio
Michael is currently the Senior Program Manager for the Generation Sector’s Enabling Technology and Asset Management group. This group’s research consists of cross-function work that aligns with varying aspects of the energy transformation (People, Processes, and Technology). Michael also supervises the Charlotte campus common lab research areas. Michael is the Sector lead for the AI initiative, Utility Digital Worker Initiative, and Cross-Sector Cyber Security Initiative with a focus on expanding collaboration and research across EPRI. Ruszkowski was previously the Senior Program Manager for the Operations & Maintenance group and the Principal Project Manager for the Balance of Plant (BOP) Systems & Equipment program (P-104). Michael has more than 16 years of experience within the power industry. He has held positions in operations, engineering, and the environmental, health and safety departments in nuclear and fossil generation. Previously, Michael was a shift manager at a coal plant for a large utility and worked in both Operations & Engineering at a nuclear plant for a large utility. Ruszkowski received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering, with a minor in chemistry from Villanova University. He was certified as a senior reactor operator
