Hillary Palmer has 13 years of experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) including 3 years as the Enhanced 911 Addressing Official for the Matanuska- Susitna Borough where she managed key GIS datasets used in 9-1-1 dispatch and emergency response. Palmer earned her bachelor’s degree in geology from the University of Alaska-Anchorage (2008) and has worked as a GIS Analyst for the US Army Corps of Engineers and the Alaska Department of Transportation where she became aware of the many uses for location intelligence at state and federal government agencies. Palmer chairs the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA) Next Generation 9-1-1 Task force and is the Secretary/Treasurer for the Alaska Chapter of APCO/NENA.
