Dr. Ripudaman Singh Minhas (he/him) is an Indo-Canadian Sikh and Developmental Paediatrician at St Michael’s Hospital and an Assistant Professor in the Division of Developmental Pediatrics, Department of Pediatrics, University of Toronto. His research interests are in the development, behaviour, disability, and rehabilitation of children in urban settings and in newcomer families.
He is currently working to develop interventions to support the developmental potential of children in the unique context of their social determinants of health. This is particularly through using Community-Based Participatory Research principles to guide the design and implementation of family-based interventions and the evolution of health systems.
Dr. Minhas’ work includes the creation of Punjabi Kids’ Health, an online family support resource for the Punjabi diaspora, that aims to support parenting, child health literacy and parental mental health. He is also the Principal Investigator of The Maple Circle, a parent-led virtual family support platform for families of refugee background.
