Bio
Annelisa is Director and Sustainability Advisor at consultancy Globalbalance Ltd, biodiversity advisor to Aviva Investors, board member of Partnership Biodiversity Accounting Financials and a fellow of UNEP-WCMC. She has more than 20 years’ experience advising companies and civil society on the business risks and opportunities associated with biodiversity and ecosystem services and approaches to managing them. She started her career as an accountant and sustainability consultant at KPMG before moving to environmental organisations, Fauna & Flora International and most recently the United Nations a broad range of sectors. A key theme of her work in recent years has been to build the understanding of key decision makers on the value of biodiversity, how it can be integrated into existing management systems and how to measure corporate biodiversity performance. Annelisa has an M.Phil. in Environment and Development, a B.A. in Zoology from Cambridge University and is a qualified financial accountant.
