National Development Lead for the Education Sector, Child Bereavement UK
Bio
As a research scientist, Tracey’s links with the education sector began as she developed an outreach programme for schools and universities. This led Tracey to qualify as a teacher and to teach across the primary phase. Tracey specialised in supporting vulnerable pupils and their families, particularly young people with autism and sensory processing disorder.
She joined Child Bereavement UK in 2018; her role at the charity includes supporting education professionals, providing online resources and evaluating training. Tracey designed the content of an online resource, Supporting a bereaved pupil, which was launched in 2019 in collaboration with London Grid for Learning. Tracey has developed training materials for the education sector and has delivered bereavement training to over 10,000 education professionals.
