M∴ W∴ Richard E. Lynn has been the Grand Secretary for the Grand Lodge of Florida since 2008.
Since 1984, when he was appointed to serve as the District Deputy Grand Master for the 29th Masonic District in Southeastern Florida, he has diligently served the Fraternity in various positions ranging from the Board of Trustees of the Masonic Home to the Corporate Board of Directors for Grand Lodge. M∴ W∴ Lynn served as Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Florida in 1992.
M∴ W∴ Lynn is a member of the Memorial Lodge No. 29, the Scottish and York Rites, Everglade Chapter No. 149, York Rite College, Mahi Shriners, MI-AM-I Grotto, Biscayne Bay Chapter O.E.S., as well as several other Masonic organizations. Additionally, he is an Active Member of the DeMolay International Supreme Council, a core member of the Masonic Renewal Committee and proudly holds various Masonic honors, including the York Rite Red Cross, the Scottish Rite K.C.C.H., and Representative to the Grand Lodge of Oregon in Florida.
M∴ W∴ Lynn is a Past Potentate (1999) and life member of Mahi Shriners in Miami Florida, where he also served as Treasurer in 2000 and Recorder from 2003-2008. He has been on the fraternal relations committee since 1992. In 2011, M∴ W∴ Lynn received the distinguished Imperial Potentate’s Award of Merit.
M∴ W∴ Lynn has had a long career in the catering industry and was the President and CEO of Catering by David Lynn Inc. from 1969-2003. His company achieved recognition as one of the finest and most prestigious catering companies in Florida.
Richard has been married to his lady, Susan Louelle Drake, for nearly 50 years. They have a son Philip, a daughter Christine and a grandson Brayden.
