Rusty Shelton first spoke at Harvard on the changing world of marketing and PR at the age of 23. He is the founder and chairman of Zilker Media, an Austin-based agency building people-driven brands.
Prior to founding Zilker Media, Rusty built and sold two successful businesses before the age of 35. He launched his first business, Shelton Interactive, in 2010 and developed a strong team that grew it into one of the nation’s most respected digital marketing agencies. The company handled the launch of more than 30 New York Times & Wall Street Journal bestsellers and represented some of the world’s most recognized authorities, including Gary Keller, Sally Hogshead, Ram Charan, Chicken Soup for the Soul & many others. Shelton Interactive was also named one of the nation’s top 10 social media marketing agencies in 2014 and 2015 by research agency Clutch. In 2016, Rusty’s first business was acquired by Advantage Media Group, where he continues to also serve as the senior marketing strategist.
Rusty speaks regularly at top conferences like SXSW Interactive, Financial Planning Conference (FPA), Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) and also EO & YPO groups around the country.
