‘Paul has seen how the guidance he has given in the role of Patient Safety Quality Support can really make a difference to all perioperative practitioners and those they care for’.
Paul Bond, Registered ODP City & Guilds 752, Further Education Teacher's Certificate 7307 and PCGE post graduate certification in Education.
Paul has over 30 years’ experience in perioperative practice working both in the NHS and independent sector.
Most of those years he has spent in the Isle of Man as the Practice Development Facilitator. Looking after the development needs of the operating theatre staff. This gave him great experience in working on a small island facing different challenges daily. Upon leaving the Isle of Man he went down to Kent to work within the Private sector as a Theatre Manager. Gaining experience on many workplace challenges.
Paul joined AfPP in April 2020 as Patient Safety and Quality Support. A major part of his role at AfPP is to provide clinical and ethical advice to members through the Professional Advisory Service (PAS). Which he has found to be an incredibly satisfying, rewarding and varied role promoting the quality and safety of both patients and practitioners in the perioperative environment.
