Haris Zografakis is partner at the London office of Stephenson Harwood LLP, one of the maritime sector’s leading international law firms, and is heading up the firm’s commodities team.
In a career spanning nearly 30 years in the City of London, he has represented clients from every continent and has dealt with most aspects of international maritime trade.
He has been inducted to the Hall of Fame of the legal directory Legal 500, in recognition of his work in his area of practice.
He has published and lectured extensively around the world (including for the IMO, BIMCO and universities), served on the editorial board of Shipping and Transport Law Journal, was member of the Council of the London Shipping Law Centre, and is member of the University of Southampton Institute of Maritime Law.
He leads the firm’s partnership with the Global Maritime Forum, served on the drafting committee of, and is now legal advisor to, the Sea Cargo Charter.
He is involved in various decarbonisation projects and is widely acknowledged as a thought-leader in this field and was most recently invited to speak on Transport Day at the International Maritime Hub of COP26 in Glasgow.
