Bio
Andrew is the co-founder of The Soup Spoon, a local homegrown soup chain with 28 outlets offering wholesome soup meals for all occasions. The soup creations are adaptions of familiar soup recipes inspired by travels and culinary adventures.
Since founding the company in 2002, Andrew has constantly been injecting new ideas, new concepts and implemented new ways of doing things to keep the business fresh and relevant to the ever-changing consumer landscape. In 2016, The Soup Spoon invested in a state-of-the art High Pressure Processing machine, to bring food innovation to another level and getting the brand ready for export to build a more scalable business.
Andrew is also an active industry champion and advisor, lending his experience and knowledge by serving on various industry committees such as Singapore Productivity Centre (SPC), Restaurant Association of Singapore (as Honorary Treasurer), Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP). He is also a SkillsFuture SME Mentor, offering coaching to younger SMEs to improve their systems and processes in learning and development to build up their value proposition as employers of choice.
Prior to starting The Soup Spoon, Andrew has been in various MNC in the areas of implementing technology in the fields of Business Intelligence, CRM, Web Development.
