Dr. Lou Whitaker brings over a decade of study and hands-on application of neuroscience principles to her current role as a consultant in both educational and business settings. Her experience in education stretches from the classroom to the principal’s office to district administration. She has taught students of all ages, from preschoolers to high-school students to pre-service teachers to octogenarians, about their brains and the best practices for getting the most from them. Among her many awards, she received the 2013 Principal of the Year Award (Learning Enhancement Corporation), the 2013 Neuroscience-Based Teaching and Learning School of the Year Award, and the 2007 Catholic Schools of Tomorrow Award. She received her Master’s Degree in Educational Supervision and Administration from National Louis University and her EdD in Educational Leadership and Administration from Nova Southeastern University. She currently serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of Florida ASCD (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development).
