Bio
Sharon Hessney has taught math, including AP Statistics, in grades 1 – 12 in Minneapolis and Massachusetts. Being an avid newspaper reader and active member of the American Statistical Association, she developed “What’s Going On In This Graph?” (WGOITGraph?) with the American Statistical Association and the New York Times Learning Network, the free, online feature which assists teachers in using the New York Times in their classrooms. Currently, she also tutors refugees in math so they can earn their Boston Public Schools high school diploma and folds origami.
