Janaina is a Water Engineer passionate about joint actions, specially between the private sector and small communities. She herself grew up in a rural area and felt the environmental impacts change the community’s dynamics. Now she advocates for minorities in the projects she is part of and found in the AWS Standard an effective way of doing so.
Janaína was part of the consulting team that helped 7 of 10 AWS certified sites in Brazil implement the Standard. She also has a vast experience in identifying water source vulnerabilities and creating a plan to mitigate them. She has worked in water risk assessments, phase I and II environmental assessment, projects of water use reduction and Due Dilligences.
