Senior Contracting Executive, U.S. Army Installation Management Command
As IMCOM’s senior contracting official, Ms. Adams is responsible for an annual 4.5 Billion dollar portfolio of contracts and procurements, for the 75 IMCOM managed garrisons and sites worldwide. Ms. Adams entered Federal service in 1983 as a Vice-Presidential Intern, with initial duty at McClellan Air Force Base, Sacramento, CA, leading to many duty assignments with the USAF. After a stint in private industry, she returned to Federal service with the US Army-Europe in 1999 at the Wiesbaden Contracting Center (WCC) in Germany. She worked as the Deputy, Europe Regional Contracting Office, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany, and then served as the Deputy Director, Contracting, at the Healthcare Acquisition Activity (HCAA), Walter Reed Army Medical Center, which had oversight of all Army Medical Treatment Facilities in a 21-state area, as well as the Air Force and Navy facilities in the National Capital Region. Ms. Adams attended Spelman College, Webster University and the University of Bradford, England, receiving her BA, MS and MBA degrees respectively. She is FAC-C Level III in Contracting and holds the CPCM designation from NCMA.
