Sriman is the Head of Packaging at Takeda Pharmaceuticals Ltd, based out of Boston, USA. Prior to Takeda, Sriman was Head of Packaging for Respiratory Category at GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare and has over 22 years of extensive global experience in primary, secondary packaging and device development. He has a distinguished career with 35+ awards for excellence in packaging on Innovation and Sustainability including 7 coveted WorldStar trophy. He was featured by Hindustan Times newspaper as emerging talent in packaging in 2009 and awarded the lifetime achievement award by Express Pharma in 2018. Some of his recent packaging innovations include Rx to OTC switch of Flonase & Sensimist Allergy intranasal spray, Theraflu Cold & Flu Power pods, Sustainability on intranasal pumps by reduction of plastics and Smoking cessation digital device. At GSK, he is also associated with leading and setting up some of their programs including - The Clean Breathing Institute , e-labelling , Asian ERG events amongst many others. His previous work experience includes Reliance Ind. Ltd, Marico and J&J. Sriman’s education span includes a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Post Graduation in Plastics, Masters in Packaging & MBA with specialization in Finance and is amongst handful worldwide to have achieved Lifetime Certified Packaging Professional from IOPP, USA. He is an avid traveler and has visited more than 30 countries and lived in 3 countries experiencing different cultures and lifestyles.
