Charlie Lewis is currently the Vice President of Venture Development for Skysong Innovations, the technology transfer arm for Arizona State University. For the past seventeen years, he has managed the creation and growth of 176 new ASU spin-out companies of which 12 companies have been acquired, merged or became publicly traded. Through 2020, new ASU faculty startups have raised over $850 million in venture capital investment with more than 500 people currently employed at ASU-linked startups. Charlie has 25 years of entrepreneurial and investment experience. Prior to joining Skysong Innovations, he served as general partner for two Arizona venture capital funds, Arris Ventures and Paradise ’94.
Charlie Lewis was a founding partner of Midas Computers after graduating from Arizona State University. The company designed software tools for small retail businesses and was acquired by POS Systems.
