David read Music and French at the University of Birmingham and is currently the Head of Music at Beaumont School, St. Albans. The department has been a finalist in the Best School Music Department category of the Music Teacher Awards for Excellence, and maintains an excellent reputation for music-making. David writes for Music Teacher Magazine, and consults regularly on music education for organisations such as Rhinegold, and the BBC. He is co-author of the 'OCR Study Guide for GCSE Music' (Rhinegold) and 'How to Teach Music: Secondary (Harper Collins). He works for exam boards in both resources and assessment, and maintains a personal blog on music education.
